Working with Children & Youth:
Application & Background Check
At Columbia Road, the safety and well-being of our children and youth is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a secure, nurturing environment where young people can grow in faith and community.
Our Commitment to Safety
All volunteers and staff who work with minors in any capacity are required to complete an application process and background screening. This policy reflects our dedication to maintaining the trust families place in us and ensuring that our children’s ministry is led by qualified, caring individuals.
Who Needs to Apply?
Background checks are required for anyone who will:
- Serve in nursery, children’s ministry, or youth programs
- Lead or assist with Sunday school classes
- Chaperone overnight trips or off-site events
- Work regularly with minors in any church program
