WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?2024-07-12T16:10:47-04:00

Many of our members and guests will be wearing business casual or more formal clothes (suits, dresses, etc.). But you’ll see people in t-shirts, hoodies, and jeans, too. If you think “church” and not “beach party,” you’ll feel right at home!

HOW DO I KNOW WHERE TO GO?2024-07-12T16:09:44-04:00

Greeters are waiting for you at the Main Entrance (you can’t miss it). They’ll guide you throughout your time with us. Feeling independent? There’s signage inside the building to direct you.

WHAT IS YOUR PASTOR LIKE?2024-07-12T16:12:25-04:00

Pastor Bill is an engaging, energetic speaker. He preaches practical, expository Bible messages. He’ll read a Bible passage, explain its context and meaning, and show you how you can apply it to your life.

He’s also approachable. You’ll usually find him chatting with members and guests after services in the Main Auditorium or in the Lobby. Come on up and introduce yourself. He’d love to meet you and your family.

Want to get a feel for him before you arrive? Watch one of his archived sermons.

WHAT WILL A TYPICAL SERVICE LOOK LIKE?2024-07-12T16:03:53-04:00

After one of our greeters helps you find any children’s classes or nursery facilities that you might need, you can choose your seat in the Main Auditorium. Our service will be about an hour, and we’ll do our best to start and end on time.

We’ll pray together. You’re welcome to pray along silently or just observe.

We’ll sing songs. The lyrics will be up on our screens and available in our hymnals. Feel free to join in or just listen.

We’ll receive an offering. This is for our members, but if you want to, you can contribute financially as the offering plate passes by or online through your mobile device.

Someone will preach a message from the Bible. He’ll read a Bible passage, explain its meaning, and show you how you can practically apply it.

We’ll have an invitation (a time for people to respond to the message’s call to action). People may come forward and pray quietly in the front of the church. Many people will pray in their seats or sing the selected song.

If someone is choosing to believe on Christ, get baptized, or join the church, he or she comes forward and speaks with the pastor during this time, too. There’s no pressure on you to do anything – just respond as God leads you.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?2024-07-12T16:06:52-04:00

At Columbia Road Baptist Church, we value our children. So we’re giving everything we’ve got to make our Children’s Ministry absolutely irresistible. That’s why we have a creative, age-appropriate ministry that includes music, activities, small groups, and a Biblical lesson told in a creative, exciting way. You can be confident we’ve worked really hard to create a safe place for your kids. All of our Children’s Ministry volunteers are trained and have passed background checks prior to working with your children.

We have meetings designed especially for children to grow in knowledge and relationship with Jesus. On Sundays, children can enjoy age-specific Bible classes at 9:45 a.m. and Junior Church at 11:00 a.m. On Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m., we have Master Clubs, a children’s ministry that teaches ages 4 – grade 6 about the Bible, character lessons, and how to practically serve God.

Want to attend a children’s gathering with your kids to see what they’re like? You’re absolutely welcome to do that!

WHEN ARE YOUR SERVICES?2024-07-12T16:17:45-04:00

Our in-person services are on Sundays at 9:45AM, 11:00AM & 6:00 PM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM. All services are also livestreamed on the CRBC Website, CRBC Mobile App and the CRBC Roku channel.

WILL I BE SINGLED OUT AS A VISITOR?2024-07-12T16:19:40-04:00

Rest assured that you won’t be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed. As our guest, we will not ask you to announce yourself or differentiate yourself in any way. Feel free to travel at your own pace. We’re glad that you took a chance to spend some of your morning with us. Our hope is that you’ll just come, enjoy the service, and get a sense of Columbia Road Baptist Church. So in a nutshell…no, you won’t be singled out.
