Losing a loved one is one of life’s most traumatic and difficult experiences. It is normal to hurt and necessary to grieve. However, it is also possible to find hope and spiritual growth through this process as well. Years ago, research identified five stages of grief that people typically go through – denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. While these are typical human responses to grief, they are not necessarily the ideal of what should occur (from a biblical perspective).
The process of grieving as determined from the Word of God equips us to move through hurt to find hope in Jesus Christ. Do you need help dealing with an overwhelming sense of grief? Our trained counselors at CRBC can assist you with dealing with your grief in a manner that will help you overcome the hurt and grow in your relationship with the Savior.
